Something else

Last week I wrote about Photography with a Purpose and that I was going to take pictures of Service. Well, I only came up with one picture.

I was either too lazy, too unmotivated, or perhaps just uninterested in the subject to come up with anything else. ;)

So Instead....

we went up the "canyon" on Monday (to keep my sanity) and I figured out how to adjust the simple settings in Manual that I used to do on my old film camera. Woot woot! One step closer to figuring out the dSLR! I was pretty excited.

I know I could also read the manual. But have you seen that thing?

It's intimidating.

Some of the shots were fine, but there are definitely a few favorites!!

(ok, maybe a LOT of favorites.)

Hike LOVED the whole trip! We walked, or rather moseyed along (sometimes he ran). He would stop where ever he wanted

look at that air!! Lately he's been a non-stop jumper!

Is that a "yummy" face? or a "yucky" face?

I wish it were the other...

he seems pretty satisfied though

or he'd just sit down and "rest" or play in the dirt.

I think he was in heaven!

It was SO beautiful!

Where we stopped for a snack, there was this huge pile of rocks that Hike decided to slide down

I think this was by far his favorite part

We found this fun gate at the end where we turned around.

It was such a fun day! and we had a blast!

The weather was PERFECT!!! It's really starting to cool down. I LOVE that crisp coolness that comes with fall! My friend had mentioned snow on the mountains, and I KNEW I had to get out of the house. I could go outside everyday in this weather!!! :)
