A week in Review

I can't remember too much from this week, which I think means it was pretty uneventful.

We had an awesome Standards Night with the Young Women. Tiffany did a fantastic job putting it all together. The theme was "Monkey See, Monkey Do" and there were a couple different stations. "Don't Monkey Around" was about dating, "Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil" was about media, "Go Bananas for Good Health" was about eating healthy and the word of wisdom. Plus there was one about modesty, I can't remember what the title was, but the moms "dressed up" it was pretty cute. One example that I loved was a little saying about spaghetti straps and one of the mom had raw spaghetti strapped to her shoulders. They were cute. Plus we had yummy treats and good conversation. I love all the young women! They are so fantastic! :)

Jackson finally learned how to get down from climbing up the gate, which makes things easier.

They are both as crazy as ever, and we love them. Hunter seems to be doing double duty trying to get into everything which is wearing me out! But at the same time he seems to be maturing a little and being a better help. For some reason things have gotten a lot easier this week, even though I'm exhausted. I don't know how that works. ;) Hunter is also talking so much more, saying 'sentences' and his vocabulary is really growing. He's also decided to let us read to him again! Which is so much fun! For a while there he never would, always wanting to look at the books by himself, funny boy. Jackson is growing too!! Yippy!! He is going to be ONE on Sunday! I can't believe it! I keep thinking he should still be a little baby. ;)

I think the highlight of our week was our date last night! The Hub took me to a REAL Salt Lake soccer game, or football as he likes to call it.

It was so much fun! We were really impressed with the Rio Tinto stadium and how nice it was! We had great seats and could easily see the whole game! Though we often got distracted by what all the people were doing around us. I should have taken a picture, but there was one group of people who sat there throwing paper shreds on the people below them the whole time. It was kind of funny. We played against the Red bulls and did awesome! We scored in the first 5 minutes and had a LOT of really close attempts. The other team really came back strong in the second half, but we still concurred! haha. One of the players on the other team is from France, and is Hub's favorite player. He was stoked to get to see him play, and to my relief and his disappointment, didn't get to see him score. (I'm glad we won.) :) We would definitely love to go back! We both love the atmosphere, and hopefully one day we'll see a wold cup game, or at least some in Europe! :)
