First Steps to Peanuts

This has been a fun week! A very BUSY fun week! I've had something going on almost every day! I finished up lots of orders on Monday. Visiting and mutual on Tuesday. More crafting and orders on Wednesday. More orders Thursday.  Cabin camping Friday until Saturday (with the YW), the RS General Broadcast and catching up on life on Saturday, and here we are back at Sunday (oh, and I taught the lesson in YW today. It was a lot of fun!).

A week or so ago, the Mr. got Baby to take some steps while holding onto a hair elastic! It was pretty exciting, until Monday when he took his first steps ALL On His OWN!! :) Yippy! I know it means more running around and chasing and craziness. But we are very excited! (We are secretly hoping that Baby will now give Hike a run for his money! haha!) :) Unfortunately he hasn't taken more steps since then.

On another note, we found out that Hike has a mild peanut allergy, that could potentially turn into something more serious! The doctor said no peanuts, peanut butter, etc for another two years!! So all of you family out there, or friends, that might watch Hike in the next two years... Don't give him anything peanuts! :) Thanks! :) I'm really glad it's not a full blown allergy that he'll have for the rest of his life, and I'm really hoping that it will go away. Cross your fingers! :)

Exciting things this week: Baby, with the help of Hike, got some good nacho eating time in! What a mess! :)
It did give me that extra motivation to finally mop the floor, so I guess it wasn't all bad! :)

We've been going on a lot of walks lately! I LOVE this weather! :) Usually Hike wants to walk too, but sometimes he doesn't want to finish his walk, so this is what we do (with our single stroller):
we lay the back down all the way, buckle Hike in where the seat is, and let Baby sit on the head rest part. They seem to like it! Until this happens...

lol.

Here's the fun cabin we stayed in on Friday! It was kind of (VERY) nice to get away for a night. I slept surprisingly well, and LOVED not waking up to two demanding little ones. :) We stayed up late playing games and played some more in the morning after breakfast. What a fun bunch of girls!

Today we were going to have scones for dinner. You know, the ones that you fry in oil. Oh so good! Well, we didn't read ahead in the recipe and half way through, we realized we were making baked scones. I figured we might as well finish anyway, since I've never made them before. They turned out pretty good! :) (I added craisins and extra sugar, so they were our dessert. :)
Hike helped me make them of course. He likes to poor all the ingredients in the bowl. Mix it and "taste it". Yuck. He helped me pat the dough, and once I added the craisins it was a fight to keep him from eating them all out of the dough! That crazy boy! He is a good helper, but sometimes he likes to 'bake' his own way and do his own thing. I was happy when we put them in the oven. :) haha.

And one more random picture:
I finally got a nice picture of the new pages for the activity books! :) Here's the hangman and the lined pages. I think for most of them that I make I'll still use the 'Draw My Face' rather than lined pages, but I think they turned out pretty fun! :)

The End! :)
