You are such a happy wonderful boy! You are always so happy and pleasant! And you have grown so much!


October-ish

You are our little cuddler, but when you get hurt, you don't really like to be comforted or cuddled. You'd rather get back down and start playing again!

The second you see that anyone has food you are there in a heartbeat ready to eat too!
(early October) One time when I had some food and came in where you were sitting, you got SO excited that you ripped your binky out and threw it across the room. And of course like always, you squealed with delight.
And sometimes you actually get really angry if we don't give you food. Funny boy! You have quite the range of emotions.

Oct 27th: We went to the doctor today because Hunter has croup. When Dr. Cornish came in he had Hunter give him five. Then he asked you to give him five. Instead you crawled down the steps, went over to him and gave him a hug! It was SO CUTE! The look on your face afterwards beamed with pride as if saying, "Look what I did!" It was so cute. The doctor was dying! He loved it! :)

Nov 2nd: We took you t the doctor today, sadly you have ear infections in each ear. And yet, you are Always SO happy!! The doctor even said that you are probably in more pain than you let on. You're such a tough boy!

Nov-ish, and always: You are the sweetest, happiest boy. Always have a smile, and ready and willing to make everyone happy. But when you are upset or angry, you get ANGRY! If someone takes something away from you that you want, but can't have, or Hunter takes away a toy, you scream and cry and let everyone know that you are not happy about it. Also, you've started even more when you want to be picked up and help and are put down, or not picked up. Or for whatever other reason you get upset. :) It's kind of cute though. ;)

Nov. 13: to go along with the previous note, tonight at dinner you didn't want to eat anymore pizza and you started crying this sad pitty upset cry. It was the cutest cry face I'd ever seen. You seemed so distraught and it was so hard not to giggle. :) You are a cute boy!

Nov. 13, and other times: You are kind of clumsy. We played on the slide a lot today and you actually fell off of it about 3 times. You cried a little, but not because you were sad or hurt. You were crying because you were no longer where you wanted to be and once I put you back up on the slide you were happy and smiling again. You've always been like this. You hardly ever, if ever want to be help and comforted after you've fallen or gotten hurt. It's kind of always surprises me because of how cuddly and soft/sensitive you are. You're soft, but super brave and tough!! :)

Nov 17th: Today you stood on the stairs and sang and sang and sang. It was the cutest thing ever! You did it for quite a while, and Hunter got the biggest kick out of it!  He just laughed and laughed and finally went to the stairs and copied you. You got a pretty big kick out of that! :)

On another note, you have ear infections. again. Poor guy. And a yeasty diaper rash from the last antibiotics. I'm sorry and I hope you get feeling better super quick!

Dec. 2: Your ear infections are gone! Yippy! Two nights ago you were pulling on your ears and I was so worried that they had come back again, so yesterday we went to the doctor. Your ears are good, but your back molars on the bottom are coming in. That explains a couple things. ;)

Yesterday also was the first time that I've noticed that you were teasing me. I wanted you to come to me, and you acted like you were going to, but then you ran away. It was so funny. You did it again that night, look so cute at us and then run away. You are a little tease. :)

You are also starting to talk A LOT!!! It's so much fun! You love to talk to people and say hi to them.
Thanksgiving weekend, seeing all of your cousins run around, also helped you make huge strides in walking! You finally prefer walking over crawling, which was previously the other way around. And you are starting to get pretty fast. How fun!

Early Dec. One morning I was getting Hunter dressed/changing his diaper and you decided to be funny and came over and  started playing with his face, which made him laugh. Then you started playing with his belly button and he was dying! It was the funniest thing ever. You might have been smiling, but you weren't laughing or anything. Then you just crawled away like nothing happened, while Hunter was left laughing so hard. It was so funny.

You really are becoming quite the tease! You tease Hunter all the time. Whenever he is in time out you come over and join him. The other day after he had woken up for a nap he was lying on the floor kind of in a ball and you started climbing on his head and his back. He would simply straighten his legs and you would fall off. Then you'd get back on again. I was dying this time, it was so funny! Hunter didn't enjoy it so much because he was still waking up, but I thought it was pretty hilarious!

The both of you play so well together and you have so much fun. You like to tease Hunter with toys that you have that he wants, but you always end up sharing! You are so kind and loving and thoughtful.

You've also started making this growl face where you scrunch your face all up. I love it! It makes me laugh!

You have been consistently insistent that you feed yourself for every meal. Or at least have your own spoon or fork to hold onto. For a couple days you ate your cereal all by yourself and you did so well. But once Daddy told me you'd still let me feed you as long as you had your own spoon, I've been choosing the less messy route. :)

Dec. 25th: Merry Christmas cute boy! :) We sure love you and are glad you are in our family! You brighten up our lives everyday! :)

Just a few more things to add: One of your favorite places to go is behind the curtain of our food pantry. Especially if we're in the kitchen cooking or something, you'll just go sit behind it. And then of course you love to play hide and seek and peek-a-boo as well. :) You really love playing anything!

You have started talking even more in the last few days! More of your words are getting more audible as well. You have also started 'running' and can go so fast all over the house! You also learned how to climb on the couches finally ... since I put some of Hunters toys up on one the other day that you wanted. :) (Even though you've been climbing on the table for forever!!! I would think that would be harder. Sometimes you'll climb up on the table and then crawl to the side that doesn't have a chair (where your high chair goes when we eat) and then you'll start backing off. I'm not sure what you are trying to do, or if you really just want to fall off, but you do it all the time and it drives me crazy. I'm just glad you haven't fallen yet!

The other day I was getting lunch or breakfast ready, and your tray wasn't on your high chair. When I told Hunter to go sit down, because it was ready, you ran over to your high chair and sat down too. It was so cute! You love to eat and eat a TON!!!

You love HATS! I think they might be your favorite things. You love putting them on and wearing them around. :) You got a new hat for Christmas and you look so cute in it! :)  You also love cars, and you love stuffed animals! You ALWAYS give your stuffed animals BIG hugs every time you see one. It is the cutest thing ever! You are such a sweetheart! You also love to give us hugs. :) And often will just come over to us while playing and want a hug and kiss. :).
