(I will add pictures when I'm up at our other computer)
Mid October: You are ALWAYS so happy when you wake up! I love lying in bed listening to you in the morning. You usually always get in the crib with Jackson right away, but he never cries. One morning you sang to him for quite a while. :) Cute. One morning I heard you doing our dinosaur tromp, "Da-da Rarrrr!" One time after your nap I heard you saying over and over, "No way!" :)
You and Jackson have so much fun together! At Jackson's last dr appointment he said that you probably don't play together yet, but I always hear the two of you laughing and playing together. You are great at sharing!
Sometimes in the morning while I am getting breakfast ready, if I'm taking too long for Jackson you will start feeding him your cereal. Thanks for watching out for him!
October 26: Tonight you woke up with croup. Poor boy! The whole night you and Jackson spent playing musical beds. You'd wake up, come in our room. I'd open the window a little and we'd put Jackson in his crib. Then we'd put you back in your room, you'd cough and wake up Jackson, so we'd put him back in the pack-n-play in our room. We'd do this over and over again.
October 30: You have trick-or-treating down to a T. You know you're cute and if you stand there just a little bit longer, you'll get an extra piece of candy or two. haha. :)
Nov. 1st: Today you had a cheerio stuck to the bottom of your foot. So you picked it off and ate it. hum. ;)
Nov. 2nd: We watched Toy Story 3 tonight. You TOTALLY screamed like a little girl at the part where the killer monkeys were attacking at the beginning. And then you were like, "NO! NO!" You were SO scared! It was super cute! :) Then at the part where Woody slips on the toilet paper roll, you were laughing so hard! (Harder than when we tickle you to death.) You thought it was so hilarious! It was awesome! :)
You ALWAYS want to play with the dropper things that come with the medicine you and Jackson have gotten while being sick.
Nov. 3rd: Yesterday we bought you and Jackson some new hot wheel cars. You got a firetruck and a motorcycle. You liked them so much that you slept with them. About three times during the night you'd wake up and I'd hear you, "Mom. mom." Either Dad or I would go in there to put you back in bed, and you'd ask, "cars? cars." So we had to find your firetruck or motorcycle in order for you to go back to sleep. So cute. ;)
Nov. 3rd: You used the potty for the first time! Number 1 and 2! It was so exciting! And you were so proud of yourself too! Too cute! :) Good job Hunter!!!
Nov. 13: There are really a lot of things I should have been posting lately, but you've been potty training and that has taken all of our attention, and left no room for blogging. Anyway, you are doing very well (you started officially on Tuesday) but you have also learned that if you say you need to go potty that we will always take you. This has become useful for you especially at bedtime, when you don't want to go. haha. sneaky guy! Tonight was especially fun. I read you a lot of stories, then after we were all ready to put you to bed you insisted that you had to 'pee'. Which you did! Congrats! But then you insisted even more that you had to go more. Daddy taught you how to say "Gonzaga" which was SO cute! I love listening to you learn new words! And he tried teaching you "University". When he said it was time for bed you would say that you need to "pee". "But you already went", Daddy would say. "I need to poopoo." "Oh, now you need to go poopoo." "Yes." "No. It's time for bed." and this conversation happened at least 3 times in a row. It made me chuckle. :) (and yes, those are the words we use. If you are grossed out, just wait until you have to potty train a two year old.) ;)
Nov. 14th: Tonight at dinner, as you were finishing up, you got up and grabbed "Dee", your blankie, and sat on it on your chair. You grabbed a piece of broccoli and held it to your blankie asking, "Bite? No?" sharing your dinner with your blankie. It was pretty cute.
Nov. 23rd: Lately you've been having a hard time going to bed. You come out of your room a million times, and end up staying up WAY too late. We've resorted to taking your "Dee" away if you come out. Last night you came out and stood in our doorway. I asked you, "Are you going to give me Dee?" You said, "yeah", ran in gave us Dee and ran back to your room. As soon as you got in your room you started bawling!!! It broke my heart, like nothing had before. You were SO Upset that you didn't have Dee, but I was so proud of you because you knew that when you came out that Dee was ours. And you willingly gave it to us with out a fuss. But it still made you so sad and distraught. It was so sad listening to you cry for your Dee. Neil and I just laughed because it was so cute, but it made me so sad for you. Finally I brought you your blankie and talked with you for a little bit. It was so cute because I was running my hands through your hair and you were laying there looking up at me playing in my hair too. It was cute. You are such a good boy and we love you very much! I love your tender heart! I hope you never lose that!
Dec. 2: On Monday we put up the Christmas tree. I didn't get the ornaments out of storage yet, so it's just the pre-lit tree. But as I was putting the branches in place, you held onto one and started singing. It was so cute. Then you would stop, fold your arms, mumble a little bit, say Amen, and start singing again. You did this maybe 10 times. It was so funny. Jackson loved it too and would start singing with you. I love your imagination!
Today you also helped me do the dishes for the first time! I only washed the plastic and unbreakable stuff, but you rinsed them for me and put them in the dish drainer. It was nice to have your help, and a lot of fun too. :)
Over Thanksgiving break you wouldn't take any naps, so Daddy would end up holding you on his lap while you watched tv and 3 times, on different days, you fell asleep on his lap. One time you woke up and came and laid with me. It was so cute! I loved it. Right now as I'm typing this even you are falling asleep next to me on the couch. :)
This morning we woke up early and finished breakfast and the dishes before Jackson woke up. When I brought him down, I set him next to you on the couch while I went and got his breakfast ready. When I came to get him you were so upset. You wanted him to stay by you so bad. It was really cute. He, on the other hand, wanted to go eat. ;)
Dec 16: At the beginning of the month we put up the Christmas tree. While doing so you held onto one of the branches and started singing. Then you stopped, folded your arms, said a little "prayer" complete with "amen" and started singing again. You did this over and over again. It was so cute. You've done the same thing a number of times since then. Sing and then pray. The other night you had some papers and you would sing along with lead the music, stop singing and pray and then hold up the paper and give a "talk". It was awesome, we were all laughing it was so cute! Guess you've got the whole sacrament meeting thing down! haha. :)
My favorite things you've been saying lately are "so excited!" whenever we're going to go do something fun or eat something yummy. It's so cute! I love it. Whenever we'd get to our destination, where ever it may be (walmart, the store, the doctors office, etc) you would always say "Home!" It made me chuckle. I think you're finally starting to get it straight with "here" as in "we're here". Another one is "mooshed" because a couple times when we were playing we smooshed you, but now you say "mooshed" when you really mean "move" it's cute. Oh, and another one: "No wayyyyyy". You always drag it out and it's so funny! Mom: "Do you want a sandwhich?" Hunter: "No wayyyy". Or Mom: "Do you want me to tickle you?" Hunter: "No wayyy". :) And it's always cute when you say "good". You say it so fast and short and nonchalantly. Mom: "How does it taste?" Hunter: "Good." :) And one more that I can think of, lately a lot of the time when I ask if I can help you, but you want to do it yourself, you say, "I try" and then you proceed to do it on your own. I love it! :) You're so cute and so smart. There are a lot of other things you say, but those are my favorite!
... one more thing you say: "what are you doing?" but the way you say "doing" is so awesome! I definitely need to get it on tape! Tonight you asked me, "Mom Dad doing?" = "Mom, what is dad doing?" You had your blanket wrapped around your head like you were a shepherd and it was just so funny! I wish I could record everything you do everyday just to catch all those priceless things!
One more thing you did today that was cute: On your tricycle you found one of the holes that goes in really far where the screws are, you put your mouth up to it and said, "Hello in there" and then you put your ear up to the tricycle to listen. You said it a couple of times and it was super funny! I just told Neil about it and he was REALLY excited and ready to demonstrate it for him. LOL!
Dec. 25th: Merry Christmas! I have a couple of things to update before this posts, so here's what I can remember. :) First of all, you are talking so much! You are getting so smart and your vocabulary is getting a lot bigger. It is so fun to hear all the cute and funny things you come up with. :) You also have SUCH a great memory! It was probably 3 or 4 doctor appointments ago that I had brought some cars in my purse for you and Jackson to play with while we waited. Well, the last 2 appointments, once we got in the room, you'd go right to my purse and ask for cars, remembering the time I had brought them. Last week while driving downtown we passed a building that had robots on treadmills outside. You really liked seeing them, and the next time we drove past that same spot you started asking about them. Along with that, as we drove past the outdoor swimming pool, Daddy asked you if you wanted to go swimming. Now you always remember and talk about going swimming when we drive by. It's so funny. But shame on Daddy for teasing you. ;)
A couple of weeks ago we were all in the kitchen. Daddy and I were making dinner and you and Jackson were playing. At one point I thought I saw you leave, and thought you'd gone upstairs. Dad went upstairs to check on you but couldn't find you. He came down and told me, so I went up looking for you. I couldn't find you either and it was starting to make me worry. I came downstairs and Neil was just laughing. While I was upstairs calling for you, Dad heard you start giggling really softly. You had been hiding in the curtain of our food pantry for at least 5 min while we'd been looking every where for you! Haha. You are a tease. :)
You definitely make me smile! I love you little dude! Life would be so boring and dull without you! You are a tremendous blessing to our family! :)
