Ice Cream Anyone?!

Being sick hasn't been all bad. ;) My desire to do absolutely anything pretty much went out the window... or was hiding under the bed (maybe that's why I slept so much). Which meant that I had all the time in the world to spend with my two boys. (Not that I don't anyway, but it was nice to not have any distractions!) They are so funny!!!

Here's how the day usually starts:
I'm in bed debating on whether I should get up before the boys, or sleep some more. I hear Hike wake up and rustle around for a little bit. (Too late for getting up early! So I just stay in bed.) Then I hear Hike climb in the crib. I hear Baby fuss a little bit. And then really loudly I hear Hike, "Awake! Awake!" Yup. Baby's awake after you crawling and jumping on him, and whatever else you do to him. Then they play and are usually pretty happy. Sometimes Baby is NOT so happy about getting woken up early though. Poor guy! ;)
All in all, it's cute and fun to listen to them.

They have been playing so well together! And Hike is super great about sharing, and making sure that Baby gets some too (usually). The other day after our drive around the Alpine Loop, which was beautiful and miserable! (ALL of our ears were hurting, and poor Neil was sicker than sick after. We were glad to be home...) Anyway, I was trying to get my ears to pop so I tried sucking on a sucker. Well of course the boys have to have some too! Hike made sure that every time he had a lick, that Baby got one too. It was really cute!

Besides being a good brother, Hike has also been causing a lot of mischief lately! Sunday was our day of 'death'. Well almost. He pretty much busted his really nice dressers (that is for another story), scratched all of his cd's, my Bob Marley cd got busted, ripped up another book (how do you get them to stop tearing books???) and now I can't remember what else happened. Anyway, it was not the best day for me. Though, he is still really cute in all his trouble making. He always gets into the wipes and throws them all of his room. Here is where I found them the other day. (they were super easy to get out, thank goodness!) :)
(last week he put a plastic easter egg in there. I had to take the whole thing apart to get it out. Watching them play last night, they shove whatever they can into anything they can! Crazy boys!) :)

Yesterday we all took a trip to Walmart to get some groceries. Hike found the game room on the way out, and we decided we'd let them play. They LOVED the ice cream truck! It was so funny watching them bounce around, and how serious Hike was about driving. Too cute!!

short little video :)  I couldn't get it to load in blogger, so if you click on the picture it will actually take you to my picasa page and you can see it there.
