What a day! Mabel brought out the little potty this morning and said to me, "Potty train me!" "uh, ok." She had two accidents, and went about a billion times. I've never seen someone go to the bathroom as much as she did today. She's a pro! I didn't even realize she was going half the time until she would bring me the bucket to show me. What a great way to potty train! Now we'll see how the night goes. The hardest part was keeping the baby away from it. And the time I was leaving to the store and she grabbed her diaper and cried and cried that she didn't want to potty train anymore so she could come with me. ha.
It's truly been a miracle and I couldn't be more grateful!! What a great birthday present / wish come true. :) In January we started talking about that she needs to be potty trained by my birthday. We would calmly talk about it each week. I'd ask if she was ready, she'd say no, and we'd leave it at that until the next week. last week she started getting her M y Little Pony panties out. Yesterday she said she wants to potty train, we did a little in the bathroom, but she later said she didn't. Then today she kept telling me she wanted to, and she kind of just did it all herself! I am SO glad I potty trained her along side Jackson last summer when we potty trained her. She was still having a lot of accidents so we kind of made her stop - against her will. She did not want to wear diapers, but she was clearly not ready, and say what you may, it saved our sanity to not deal with months of accidents. Some people push it so hard, and talk about the headache it is. Waiting for them to say when has really made it a breeze! Especially with this determined girly. :) Thank you Miss Mabel for being so good to me! :)
