Sunday Post {4/1/2012}

Fun week, quick recap:

On Wednesday we had play group at the church. It was fun. Mabel stood up on her own all by herself!!! She was crawling on me, holding onto my knee, and all of a sudden let go and was just standing there. Wahoo!! Later I had to take a diaper outside and the boys came with me. Jacks ran ahead into the gym and hid. We were looking for him (I saw him under the the table). When Hunter got close to him he jumped out and growled! Hunter jumped about a foot! It was awesome. :)

We went to our first baseball game on Saturday! My brother gave us some tickets for a UVU game. It was awesome! We didn't stay for the whole thing since it was in between conference sessions, but it was fun. The UVU ball park is great for kids! We sat on the grass on one end and the boys were able to run around and play. I LOVE not having to chase them everywhere!! They would walk off a little bit, but would always come back, or Hunter would heard Jacks back. :) There was also a really fun playground that they played on for a while too. We all got sunburned, especially Mabel. Poor girl. I definitely could go to many more games with them! AND we probably will!! We just bought a Pass of All Passes = we can go to all UVU games, some Owl games, some Real Salt Lake games, unlimited Seven Peaks and Trafalga, the Tracey Aviary, and more. We recently got a pass for the Train Museum in Ogden too. We are going to have an awesome summer! :) Now we just need gas prices to go down.

I don't know what else happened this week. I was SO super tired, so I didn't do a lot. We did play outside a lot, and blow a lot of bubbles! :) Loving this warm weather! I am going to start doing "Learning Time" with the boys! I think they will love it! I found some good sites online that have a lot of good preschool, tot, homeschooling supplies and printables. We will be doing a lot of coloring, counting, puzzles, matching, calendar stuff, and learning numbers, shapes, alphabet, etc. I bought some accessories for workboxes and notebooks. I'll share more about it all when I get more of it up and running.

I had my mission reunion on Friday night! Driving up to my Presidents home feels like going home. It was so good to see so many good friends!! I brought Mabel with me and left all the boys at home this time... so I could actually stay and talk with everyone. :) We had a great time! Mabel is so cute too!!! I totally love having her with me. :) There is just something about the friendships that are made on a mission. It really is like family! It doesn't matter how long you go without seeing or talking to one another, but when you do finally get together again, it feels like it was only yesterday!

I don't know what else. Everyone just keeps getting bigger, smarter and more fun!

... Mabel clapped for the first time today!! As in really clapping. :) SO fun! I started cheering for her and it really startled her. She likes to cheer too. :) SO cute!! Love this girl! One funny thing about her, and maybe I say this every week, but she LOVES to just hang out by me. The boys couldn't get away fast enough, but she just likes to chill. I like it too because she's not needy about it. She just hangs out. If I'm sitting in a chair, she'll just come and stand by me, hold onto my pants, sometimes "eat"/slobber all over me, whatever. She loves to sit on my lap and do whatever I'm doing or just watch. She's so calm and relaxing. It's a good change of pace from my wild boys! Though she definitely likes to get around and be crazy with them! I'm hoping her calmness will rub off on them a little rather than disappear as she gets more mobile! I guess only time will tell. :)

Now if only I could remember ALL the funny things they say! :) I have pictures to add, but I guess I'll have to post them later.  boring, I know. But I'm trying to start going to bed earlier. :)
