Dear Family and Friends,

This year the Christmas letter has fallen into the capable hands of me, Neil Bohn, master of all Christmas prose. I will begin by wishing you and your families a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Happy Holidays, happy first day of winter, Happy Kwanzaa, and Boxing Day. Oh, and Happy New Year. That should about cover it.

Now, what you all have been dying to read. My wife and kids are the best. The End. Okay, now Diane will expound a little. J

It has been a wonderful and adventurous year! We are so blessed to have 3 wonderful children!

Mabel joined our family in May, now 7 months! The time has flown by! She absolutely adores her older brothers, and they her, and is always watching them and waiting for the time when she can join in the action too. She is rolling all over the floor, loves to blow bubbles and jabber. She is ALWAYS happy and as Neil put it, was born smiling and has never stopped! She is an excellent sleeper and it shows! She definitely gets her “beauty rest”. She also adores her night-time time with Mom and Dad – which consists of rolling around on the bed and laughing and being silly. She is a bundle of joy and loves to love!

Jackson is now 2, and acts like it! He is full of adventure and has no fear! He knows how to say no, but doesn’t mind saying yes either. His favorite things are growling, laughing, and terrorizing his brother – which also includes chasing him around trying to give him hugs. J He is learning to talk very well, and has plenty of expressions to go along with his stories. He also LOVES any sport! He is quite good at t-ball, throwing (any kind of ball) and catching. He is also a great climber and loves an adventure! He enjoys everything and is always happy!

Hunter is growing up too fast! He is super smart! He remembers everything we say, every detail that he sees. He knows which movie any song is from (from the ones we watch anyway), and remembers all of his family members names. He is constantly “calling” his grandparents, and aunts and uncles on the phone – know that he LOVES you all and always wants to go to your house to play! He has an amazing imagination and is quick to figure out how things work! His new favorite things right now are games – board games, card games, and puzzles. We are also very excited for him to go into Sunbeams come January! J

Diane has had a full year of being mom, and adjusting to having one less hand than children to care for, and has enjoyed (almost) every minute of it. ;) She was also able to serve in the YW’s for most of the year, and had a bittersweet ending of that due to health issues (what seems to be a never ending thing… at least for now).  She has also enjoyed participating in a few online sewing groups, sewing swaps, and a quilting for charity group. She still keeps up with her blog, and a little bit with her online Etsy shop. She was also recently asked to manage the apartments we live in along with a few in Provo, and looks forward to that opportunity.

Neil has been a great support and help around the house! Taking on the cooking, some cleaning, waking up early every Saturday with the boys and letting Diane sleep in, among many other things. He is still as funny as ever and is a wonderful husband and dad! Work is going well. Although he’s had a number of opportunities to travel the nation for new job opportunities, we are still enjoying Orem, and are quite content here. He was also released from Executive Secretary last month, and despite feeling like we are “lost” in the ward, we very much enjoy the break.

Basically the year has been fantastic! We enjoyed getting together with family on a few occasions. Bear Lake was especially fun now that the boys are getting older and more responsible. We also enjoyed the zoo this year, along with the Dinosaur Museum, a few museums at BYU, and two movies in the theatre (though we’ll wait a while before we try that again). J Although at times it seems overwhelming to get everyone out and about, we always have so much fun and love the adventures! Oh, and Neil and Diane are also celebrating 5 wonderful years of marriage this year! It has been a wonderful, and faith building (heehee), journey! We couldn’t be happier!

We hope that this year is ending well for all of you and wish you the best in the year to come! We love you all!

Love,
Neil, Diane, Hunter, Jackson and Mabel
