On Wednesday I started hemorrhaging pretty bad and ended up calling 911. Hunter was super excited to see the firetruck and ambulance in front of the house, and was a little envious that I got to go for a ride in one. ;) ("Mommy go for ride?" "Yup, I'm going to go for a ride in the ambulance" "Oooh cool." lol. I'm just glad he didn't know what was going on so he didn't have to worry.) Anyway, I was in the ER, and then they sent me home and I went right back in a half hour later (why did they send me home??) And luckily one of my OB doctors was there and available this time and he got me into surgery. They thought maybe there was some placenta still in my uterus (It's so weird using those words in blog land) :) but it turns out they found a fibroid in there. They cut it out and sent it off to be analyzed and a few hours later we came home, again, and went to bed.
Yesterday went pretty well. Neil stayed home and I guess I'd say we had a good day. I was super ecstatic to not be bleeding anymore and we were all happy. Until last night when it hit me what I'd just been through. I got really scared and was scared to go to bed (I stayed up till 2 am. I don't know why). and then was super scared about being alone this morning, so Neil came back home for today as well. He's so good to me! :)
And well, yes. That is my wild ride. I'm glad it's the weekend, and I am still doing better. Just crossing my fingers that everything comes back good.
And because every post needs some pictures, do you want to see some pictures of the ER room I was in? We were on the pediatric side so the walls were all painted. I think my favorite was the jungle room:
And then the fish room:
I think I would be scared to have these eyes staring at me if I were a traumatized child in the ER.
I also want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped us! Thanks for watching our children until the wee hours of the night, as well as bringing us dinners and to whomever left a mountain of food on our doorstep! Thank you! :) We really have the best neighbors and friends! We love you!
